Laura London
My career began in a HR leadership rotation program, then I discovered a passion for Operations and Consulting. Eventually I joined McKinsey and saw just how much leadership matters. I became increasingly disillusioned with command-and-control and inspired by vision and heart. My fascination with what makes good leaders truly great led me to pursue advanced degrees in Management & Change Leadership and Education and certifications in Executive Coaching and Forest Therapy.
In 2024 I launched Calocedrus and our retreat property in Northern California, one hour north of my home where I live with my husband and two children. We love living the mountain life, skiing and sitting by the fire in the winter, and hiking, biking, sailing and camping when warmer.
In 2025 I immersed myself in research about AI, leadership, and the future of work. One insight became clear: great leaders will be grounded in purpose, humanity, and the most powerful human quality: love. Leading with love is an evidence-backed way to boost performance and human potential. From this realization, Big Love Leadership was born.
My purpose is simple: help high-achievers rise up, rewire for sustainable results, and restore hope.

A three-time CHRO, she brings forward-thinking, future-focused insight to complex business challenges, combining strategic leadership with a deep understanding of people and culture.

Calocedrus is the scientific name for the incense-cedar tree that is native to the Sierras and flourishes at Cedar Camp & Sanctuary, our private retreat property. It is an important tree dating back to indigenous tribes whose distinct aroma from the wood is believed to dispel negative energies, cleanse spaces, and shield individuals.
Calocedrus are also known to provide high levels of phytoncides that boost the human immune system, reduce stress by lowering cortisol levels, and improve mood and sleep. As a plant that has ensured the survival of people for thousands of years, it’s a powerful symbol of wisdom, connectedness, and revitalization.
