Laura London

I describe myself as a recovering McKinsey leader and city girl who has always been fascinated by people and change. Decades of experience working with leading companies and learning at top institutions taught me that high performance is only sustainable when we build the individual and organizational capacity for it and leaders model it. My fascination with sustainable leadership led me to pursue advanced degrees and certifications in Executive Coaching and Forest Therapy.

In 2024 I launched Calocedrus and our Sierra Nevada retreat. There’s nothing I love more than getting into nature with my family, friends, and clients. My approach blends performance improvement and nervous system science to strengthen people’s lives and leadership. Across every chapter of my work, from building a process improvement team to leading a Leadership Academy and consulting Fortune 100s, the through line has been helping people thrive in a world designed to deplete them.

My purpose is simple: help people access their best leadership more consistently so they can create greater impact in the world.

our approach

Big Love Partnerships

Our partnership philosophy can best be summarized by the term “leading from behind” where we support turning vision into reality by coming to terms with the issues, challenges, and opportunities that clients want to address.

Consulting serves as a “strategy partnership” to achieve organizational goals by empowering leaders and teams to boost both human potential and performance.

Coaching serves as an "accountability partnership" to sharpen vision and overcome obstacles, limiting beliefs, blind spots, and triggers, achieving developmental goals.

Calocedrus is the scientific name for the incense-cedar tree that flourishes at Cedar Camp & Sanctuary, our private property. It is an important tree dating back to indigenous tribes whose distinct aroma from the wood is believed to dispel negative energies, cleanse spaces, and shield individuals.

Calocedrus are also known to provide high levels of phytoncides that boost the human immune system, reduce stress, and improve mood and sleep. As a plant that has ensured the survival of people for thousands of years, it’s a powerful symbol of wisdom, connectedness, and revitalization.
